In keeping with this spirit of Kar Sewa, during natural disasters and other crisis situations, the Sewadars of Dera Kar Sewa contribute to relief efforts by providing necessary assistance to affected people. In situations such as floods, earthquakes, accidents, or other emergencies, assistance is provided to those in need through various relief and humanitarian service activities.

Our Key Service Activities:

01. Langar & Food Service

During disasters or crisis situations, food and clean drinking water are among the most essential needs of affected people. As required, Sewadars organize Langar Sewa and assist in providing food, tea, and water to affected families, local people, and personnel engaged in relief efforts.

Key activities involved in the service:

• Free meals for those in need
• Arrangement of tea and drinking water
• Distribution of food in affected areas
• Food service for personnel engaged in relief and rescue operations

02. Distribution of Relief Materials

After a disaster, affected families may require essential items for their daily lives. Depending on the need and availability, Sewadars assist in delivering and distributing relief materials.

Relief materials may include:

• Ration and essential food supplies
• Blankets and clothing
• Tarpaulins and other essential materials
• Tents and temporary relief materials
• Other daily-use items as required

03. Medical & Health Assistance

Health-related issues may arise in affected areas following a disaster. When required, assistance is provided by coordinating with doctors and relevant service teams to make medical support available.

Key service activities:

• Assistance in free medical camps
• Distribution of necessary medicines
• Basic healthcare assistance
• Assistance in helping those in need access medical services

04. Ground Support by Sewadars

In the tradition of Kar Sewa selfless service and voluntary labour hold special significance. During times of crisis, Sewadars directly assist in relief efforts as required.

Ground support includes:

• Assistance in the transportation and distribution of relief materials
• Cleaning and voluntary labour in affected areas
• Assistance in the restoration of roads and public places
• Assistance in helping affected people reach safe locations
• Necessary coordination with local administration and relief agencies

05. Assistance to Hospitals & Affected Families

In the event of a major accident or emergency, injured people and their families may require immediate assistance. On such occasions, Sewadars reach hospitals to assist families in need and provide food and other necessary services.
